The neighborhood as a shared living environment
Vonovia has around 546,000 apartments – of which 485,000 are in Germany, 38,000 in Sweden and 20,000 in Austria. We believe that our portfolio is more than just properties to be rented out; we look at the neighborhood as a whole and work to promote quality of living and social cohesion within it.
We support social and cultural projects across our 800 neighborhoods in collaboration with social institutions as well as cities and municipal authorities, thereby enriching community life for our tenants.
We take into consideration the entire infrastructure surrounding the buildings, from green spaces to paths and parking spaces. We design the neighborhoods and
- convert energy systems to be climate-friendly
- improve the climate resistance of green spaces and areas of vegetation
- develop mobility concepts that are fit for the future, from charging stations for electric vehicles to a complete e-bike offer, and
- create senior-friendly apartments.
Innovative offers
We offer our tenants many innovative products and services that make their everyday lives easier: for example, our tenants and residents can conveniently charge their electric car right outside their front door. There are also parcel stations from various providers in our neighborhoods. More and more tenants can obtain electricity from their own roof (green direct electricity) and have their apartment equipped with modern security technology or a barrier-free bathroom on request. In this way, we are creating the conditions for our tenants to remain in their familiar surroundings well into old age.
On site and always available
Our caretakers are right there on site and take care of all matters concerning the neighborhood. Their mobile phone number is displayed in every building stairwell to ensure that they can be easily and quickly contacted. Tenants themselves can book appointments, e.g. for repairs, in the “My Vonovia” app. For matters concerning lease agreements and ancillary expense bills, tenants should turn to our central customer service center. Our service center staff can be contacted by phone, email, fax or post. For urgent matters, our emergency hotline is open 24/7.
