Mobility in the Neighbourhood

Management approach

A key aspect of our neighborhood development projects is the integration of modern mobility concepts. In planning these, we focus on a diverse range of mobility options and technical solutions that enable contemporary use of transport within the neighbourhood. Such concepts can enhance the residential environment and make everyday life easier for our customers. Neighbourhoods with well-planned transport infrastructure require smaller parking areas and are designed around a coordinated range of mobility services. This often creates additional savings opportunities, which can strengthen our customers’ connection to the company.

We regularly review the continuation and implementation of existing mobility concepts. These include, among other things:

• Expanding the charging infrastructure for electric vehicles
• Reducing car parking spaces and creating bicycle parking facilities and bike garages, including for e‑bikes
• Expanding car-sharing and bike-sharing services, including for electric vehicles
• Improving connections to public transport
• Installing charging infrastructure for cars and e‑bikes
• Providing and renting cargo bikes, including those with electric drive.

Mobility-related topics and measures are designed, implemented and managed by the Corporate Development department. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) provides strategic oversight and is regularly informed about project progress.
